About my quilts - The fabric and bunting are 100% cotton. I don't consider one of my quilts finished until I have laundered them myself; therefore, they have been pre-washed and dryed. The more they are washed and dryed, the softer they become. I launder using cold water and while I have run them through a dryer, hanging them outside to dry will make them smell wonderful. Since I use the applique technique quite a bit, the edges of the design may soften and ravel at the edges, having a more fluid look over time.

You may choose to hang the quilts instead of using them for cuddling. I do that also - it's a great way to make a statement in a room and, if you have hardwood or tile floors, take away that echo. When I hang a quilt, I first install a curtain rod that goes with the style of my decor, then I hang the quilt on the rod employing either complimentary hardware or clothespins.
